Building Internet Governance Leaders

The National School on Internet Governance & Digital Rights is a multi-stakeholder initiative that aims to enhance the capacity of various stakeholder groups in Nepal to build Internet Governance leaders by equipping trainees with knowledge and skills to participate effectively in national, regional and global Internet governance processes.

Objectives

Leadership Development

To create the next batch of Internet governance leaders across diverse stakeholder groups in Nepal.

Current Issues Identification

To identify and develop current issues relating to Internet governance in Nepal.

Capacity Enhancement

To enhance awareness, knowledge, and capacity among trainees and alumni.

Policy Advocacy

To engage with emerging Internet governance issues and advocate for relevant policies.

Fellowship Selection

Participants

25 fellows will be selected from across Nepal through an open call for applications.

Inclusivity Measures

  • The selection process will ensure gender parity among fellows, maintaining a balanced representation across all stakeholder groups.
  • To promote geographical diversity, one fellow from each province will receive an exclusive fellowship covering transportation and accommodation costs.
